The Mysa House offers long-term accommodation options, providing furnished apartments that are ready for immediate occupancy, whether you prefer a shared or private living arrangement.
To ensure the safety and happiness of our community, we require all applicants to submit their applications online for a background check. Once approved, we'll guide you through the process of signing your agreement and paying the security deposit to secure your chosen property.
Before your move-in date, we'll take care of everything to ensure a seamless transition. Your new home will be fully equipped, including furniture for common areas and basic kitchenware. However, please note that bedding and towels are not provided.
We'll be in touch to coordinate your check-in and ensure you settle in comfortably to your new space.
Most of our members are young professionals between their mid 20s to mid 30s, they come from all over the world, each bringing their own professional backgrounds. Whether they're working or studying here, our members add unique perspectives to our diverse mix.
The minimum stay at a Mysa House is 3 months, although this may vary depending on the property youare renting, which will be clearly stated on your rental agreement.
At The Mysa House, we understand the importance of finding the perfect home match. That's why we offer both virtual and physical inspections to ensure you're confident in your decision.
If you prefer the convenience of exploring properties from the comfort of your own home, our virtual inspections are the perfect fit. You can browse multiple properties, receive expert guidance, and make informed decisions.
Alternatively, if you have already decided on your favourite house, you can book a physical inspection where you can visit the property before securing it.
For fully furnished and all bills included agreements, your rent covers:
· Essential kitchen supplies
· A fully-furnished bedroom which typically includes a queen size bed, bedside tables and lamps. The specific furniture provided will be clearly stated in your rental agreement
· Private or shared bathroom depending on the room and property
· Fully furnished common areas
· Wi-Fi access in the common areas
· Utility costs, including electricity, gas, and water based on average consumption (in bills included contracts)
Note: Your agreement will have the specific information regarding furniture and bills inclusion.
In order to secure the property, we require a security deposit equivalent to two weeks' rent, or as stated in the rental agreement. This deposit is fully reimbursed to you within a 7-day period following the end of your rental agreement, if there are no damages, there is no outstanding rent or cleaning charges.
Even though we love furry friends, unfortunately, we don't have any pet-friendly properties.
Rent is paid by bank transfer fortnightly in advance, starting on the day you move in. The bank details will be provided in your rental agreement and your detailed payment schedule will be sent via email with your check in instructions.
After your initial period finishes you will automatically go on a monthly rolling contract unless you request by email to finish or extend it for a specific period of time.
The leave notice is 4 weeks and it should be submitted via email with the specific date you are intending on leaving. Your leave notice is confirmed by email and you will receive a confirmation with information to guide you on your check out.
You can request to terminate your agreement before the end of the contract date by sending an email to members@themysahouse.com. However, please note that this request is subject to our lease terms.
Your check-in will be in the afternoon, any time after 12:00 PM on your move-in date. At that time, a member of our housekeeping team will welcome you to the property.
Please note that three days prior to your move-in, our team will contact you via email to arrange the specific details for your check-in.
Some of our properties offer parking spots that are available for an additional cost. Please inquire with a member of our sales team for availability.
Within reasonable, you can do changes in your room as long as you do not damage the walls, floors, furniture or other surfaces, make sure you return your bedroom to the state in which you receive it.
Your check-out will be in the morning, anytime between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM on the confirmed move-out day. 3 days prior to your check-out, we will send you an email with relevant information about your contract and the check-out instructions, including details on where to leave your keys.
What should I do if I get locked out?
Getting locked out of your apartment can be frustrating, but here are some steps tohelp you in this situation:
1. Contact your flatmates: If you have their contact information, reach out to them to see if they are home or nearby.
2. Contact The Mysa House: Reach out to our support team between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm so we can assist you in contacting your flatmates or arrange for a team member to provide access. Please note that this unscheduled service may incur an additional charge.
3. If options 1 and 2 are not available, you can always contact a locksmith. Please note, the cost of this service is to be covered by the requesting party.
What should I do if I lose my keys?
If you've lost your keys, please send an email to members@themysahouse.com with details of the key or keys you've misplaced. Please note that there is an associated cost for key replacement, which will be invoiced to you before issuing a new set of keys.
Fridge
If you have any issues with the fridge in your property, we recommend trying these common troubleshooting steps:
1. Check that the temperature settings are adjusted correctly.
2. Ensure the refrigerator is level and not obstructing any vents.
3. Confirm that the door closes properly and inspect the door seal for any signs of damage.
4. Clean the coils and condenser to maintain optimal performance.
5. Check for any power supply issues, ensuring the refrigerator is plugged in and the outlet is functioning correctly.
Dishwasher
If you have any issues with the dishwasher in your property, we recommend trying these common troubleshooting options:
Dishwasher won't start: Ensure the power source is connected, check the circuit breaker, and inspect the door latch for proper closure.
Dishwasher won't fill with water: Verify the water supply valve is openand the inlet hose screen is free from debris.
Dishwasher won't drain: Examine the drain hose for bends or clogs, and ensure its correctly connected to the plumbing pipe.
Dishwasher isn't cleaning dishes effectively: Check the water temperature, detergent, and rinse aid levels. Confirm proper loading of dishes and ensures pray arms are unobstructed
Dishwasher is leaking: If there's a leak, inspect the door seals, water inlet hose, and pump seal for damage or cracks.
Error codes: If the dishwasher displays an error code, consult the user manual for troubleshooting steps. Manuals are available in google, look for the appliance reference.
Washing machine
If you have any issues with the washing machine in your property, we recommend trying these common troubleshooting options:
Washing machine won't start: If your washing machine won't turn on,ensure the power source is connected, check the circuit breaker, and inspect the door latch for proper closure.
Washing machine won't fill with water: Verify the water supply valve is open and the inlet screen is clear of debris.
Washing machine won't drain: Examine the drain hose for bends or clogs, and ensure its properly connected to the standpipe or sink.
Washing machine is excessively vibrating: Ensure its level and the load inside is balanced.
Clothes aren't getting clean: Check the water temperature, detergent, and spin speed settings. Ensure proper loading of the washing machine and confirm the drum isn't obstructed.
Leaking washing machine: If your washing machine is leaking, inspect the door gasket, water inlet hose, and pump seal for any signs of cracks or damage.
Dryer machine
If you have any issues with the dryer machine in your property, we recommend trying these common troubleshooting options:
Dryer won't start: If your dryer machine doesn’t start ensure the dryer is plugged in and the power source is functional, check the circuit breaker or fuse to ensure it hasn't tripped and Inspect the door latch to ensure its properly closed.
Dryer not spinning or overheat: If the dryer machine is not spinning or isproducing excessive heat, regularly clean the lint trap and exhaust vent to prevent airflow obstruction and inspect the heating element for damage.
Dryer taking too long to dry clothes: If the dryer machine is taking too long todry your clothes remember to clean the lint trap before each use, check for blockages in the exhaust vent, avoid overloading the dryer with clothes, consider using a timed dry cycle for thicker fabrics.
Dryer making unusual noises: If the dryer machine is making unusual noises stop the dryer and inspect the drum for foreign objects, tighten loose screws or bolts, check drum rollers, belt, and idler pulley for wear.
Vacuum
If you have any issues with the vacuum in your property, we recommend trying these common troubleshooting options:
Vacuum cleaner won't turn on: Ensure the vacuum is plugged into a functioning power outlet, check the power cord for any signs of damage or fraying and press the power button firmly to ensure its engaged.
Loss of suction power: If the vacuum doesn’t suction properly check the dust bin or vacuum bag for fullness and empty if necessary, inspect the vacuum filter for clogs or blockages and clean or replace as needed and check the vacuum hose and attachments for obstructions or blockages.
Brush roll not spinning: Check the brush roll switch to ensure it's turned on, inspect the brush roll for any tangled hair, string, or debris and remove it and check the drive belt for any signs of damage or wear and replace if necessary.
Vacuum overheating or shutting off: Check the vacuum's air vents and filters for blockages and clean or replace them as needed. Allow the vacuum to cool down for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use it again. Remember to avoid using the vacuum for extended periods without breaks to prevent overheating.
What should i do if i have a clogged bathroom sink or drain?
Follow these steps to clear the clog and get the sink draining properly again.
Clear away visible blockages: Begin by eliminating any visible obstructions from the bathroom sink drain. Remove the sink stopper and use tweezers or a small plunger to extract hair, soap residue, or other debris that may be hindering the flow.
Use a drain cleaner product or baking soda and vinegar: If the initial steps fail to resolve the issue, use a drain cleaner such as "Strike Pro", “Drano” or "Mr. Muscle" and follow the instructions provided on the packaging.
Use a plunger: Fill the sink with enough water to cover the plunger, then place it over the drain and pump it vigorously up and down for a few seconds. If successful, the water should drain away quickly.
If the situation is urgent or constitutes a major issue, we recommend contacting an emergency plumber or electrician for immediate assistance.
